Take a breezy stroll to one of Santa Monica’s vibrant farmers’ markets, where fresh flavors and local charm come to life. The city hosts four weekly markets, with the Downtown Santa Monica Farmers’ Market—held every Wednesday and Saturday—stealing the show. Even better? It’s just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, making it the perfect stop for a taste of SoCal’s best.

You’ll find more than just food at the market. Handmade ceramics, candles, and other impulse buys, plus 15 pounds of produce, can quickly weigh you down. Bring a bag, basket, or wagon to carry around your purchases just in case.

Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to The Surfing Fox to try their monthly Farm to Shore special. Each month, the restaurant highlights a local farmer and uses one of their seasonal ingredient to create something truly unforgettable. For an added bonus, if you have purchased an item from their farm of the month, you get 10% off your meal. This is what we call a win-win.

Chase it down with a local beer or a refreshing foxtail.

After lunch, head over to Heal the Bay Aquarium, located just across from the hotel, beach-level, just below the Carousel at the Santa Monica Pier. Learn about the local ecosystem and conservation of Southern California coastal waters, watersheds, and marine life. 100% of the Heal the Bay Aquarium’s ticket proceeds support the overall mission and operations of the Heal the Bay nonprofit organization.
